- Research the right events to deliver your message to that audience, within budget.
- Identify quantifiable objectives - what you hope to get from the event.
- Create a promotion plan to let the audience know a) you're participating and b) why they should attend.
- Establish an event budget.
Logistical Implementation
- Contract event space and sponsorships with show management.
- Track all deadlines and required submissions.
- Work with your team, freelance graphic designers or agencies to produce display components - rental or purchase.
- Negotiate hotel contracts including room blocks and catering.
- Source solution providers - installation and dismantle labor, flooring, electrical, cleaning, audio visual, internet, floral, lead capture, etc.
- Update budget with actuals and communicate any requested changes.
- Determine which promotional products make sense to leave a lasting impression with attendees.
- Train staff on best practices for interacting in the event environment.
- Provide onsite support when you can't be there.
Results Measurement
- Summarize data collected onsite.
- Budget reconciliation.
- Evaluate event performance against pre-determined client objectives.
